Benghazi: The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan government, Abdulhadi Al-Huwaij, met with the Greek Consul in Benghazi, Agapios Kalognoumis, to discuss recent statements made by the Greek Foreign Minister on the maritime border between the two nations. This meeting was aimed at clarifying Libya’s position regarding the demarcation of the maritime boundary.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions were initiated following remarks by the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Kalognoumis. The meeting also explored bilateral relations, emphasizing respect for national sovereignty and a commitment to enhancing mutual understanding between Libya and Greece.
Both parties highlighted the necessity of ongoing consultations and expressed a desire to strengthen friendly relations. They also discussed developing cooperation mechanisms in areas of mutual interest, underscoring the importance of diplomatic engagement.
