A security force from the Diyala Police thwarted an attempt to blackmail a businessman in the governorate.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that after receiving a complaint from businessman Salman al-Lahibi to one of the security centers that he had been subjected to a blackmail operation, a specialized security team was formed to uncover the identity of the blackmailers.
He added that the security team proceeded to set up an ambush and arrest each of (H, K, A, S, A, A) and thwart the blackmail attempt to which Al-Lahibi was subjected.
