The Minister Of Education Discusses With The Egyptian Ambassador Joint Academic Cooperation

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Walid Muhammad Ismail, and discussed with him prospects for joint academic cooperation in light of the contexts of understanding between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Minister of Education stressed the keenness of the Iraqi academic institution to develop scientific and educational partnerships with its counterparts in the region and the world, pointing out that the joint programs represent an important basis for the paths of cooperation and coordination between the two sides, indicating at the same time that Iraqi universities will witness the reception of international students in the upcoming academic year (2024/2023) through the pioneering initiative, (Study In Iraq).

He added: “Iraqi universities and educational institutions are ready to exchange scholarships and fellowships and hold conferences, workshops and joint research with Egyptian universities in the scientific and knowledge fields.”

For his part, the Egyptian ambassador affirmed that his country is looking forward to more positive relations at the academic level and enabling the universities of the two countries to have joint work spaces that serve the interests of the two peoples.
