The First Plane Coming From The Sultanate Of Oman Landed At Baghdad International Airport

The Ministry of Transport announced today, Thursday, the landing of the first plane coming from the Sultanate of Oman to Baghdad International Airport, after a break of more than 20 years.

And the ministry stated in a statement, “The General Company for Air Navigation Services announced the return of landing and take-off of planes coming from the Sultanate of Oman, as an Airbus type plane arrived from Muscat International Airport (OOMS) to Baghdad International Airport, this morning, with passengers on board after a break of more than twenty years.”

The company's general manager, Abbas Sabbar Al-Baydani, confirmed that, "Based on the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, to open new horizons for work, and after obtaining the original approvals from the relevant authorities, the first Airbus A2ON plane, flight number OMS516, plane number REG / A4OOVE, belonging to the Sultanate of Oman landed safely .

He continued, "The trips will be permanent and daily during the Arbaeen visit, and after that their trips will be three days a week and within the schedule of aircraft flights," expressing his gratitude for "the efforts made by everyone who contributed to the success of the work."
