Al-Lafi Emphasizes Unified Military as Key to Libya’s Security

Tripoli: Presidential Council member Abdullah Al-Lafi affirmed that building a unified and professional military institution, grounded in the values of military discipline, professionalism, and loyalty to God and then to the nation, represents the fundamental pillar for establishing security, protecting national sovereignty, and preserving the unity of the country and the resources of the Libyan people.

According to Libyan News Agency, this statement was made during Al-Lafi's visit yesterday to the morning assembly of members of the 444th Combat Brigade. During the visit, he praised the high level of discipline, readiness, and advanced training and qualification he observed among the brigade's personnel.

Al-Lafi elaborated in a tweet posted on his account on the "X" platform, emphasizing that these levels of preparedness enhance confidence in the capabilities of the armed forces and confirm their readiness to undertake their national duties as required. He reiterated the importance of continuing efforts to develop military units and improve their performance, thereby enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the military institution.

Furthermore, Al-Lafi commended the officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the Libyan army, acknowledging their dedicated and sincere efforts in fulfilling their national duty.
