Western media reported that 7 civilians were killed in indiscriminate bombing in the city of Omdurman, at a time when the army Commander, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, started a round of consultations with the aim of forming an emergency government in Sudan.

Local media quoted Sudanese sources as confirming that Al-Burhan, who continues his inspection tours of some military areas inside and outside the central capital region, has started consultations with military and political leaders to form an emergency government to run the country's affairs.

On the other hand, the leader of the "Freedom and Change" forces, Yasser Arman, warned that the formation of a caretaker government in Port Sudan, in the east of the country, would lead to prolonging the war.

In addition, the US Ambassador to Khartoum, John Godfrey, described the warring parties in Sudan as "unfit to rule," and called on them to end the armed conflict and transfer power to a civilian transitional government.

For his part, the adviser to the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mustafa Muhammad Ibrahim, considered that "Al-Burhan's exit from the Army General Command compound is an escape from the field and a victory for the Rapid Support Forces," adding that "Al-Burhan found himself facing two options, either to die or to flee, so he decided to leave out of Khartoum to protect himself," as he put it.

On the ground, the clashes were renewed, as the heavy artillery of the Sudanese army targeted several locations of the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum and Omdurman, in conjunction with a wide movement of the army's aircraft to the south and east, which was met by anti-aircraft of the Rapid Support Forces in the southeastern regions of the city.

The Rapid Support Forces also fired rocket-propelled grenades from their positions in Khartoum North towards sites believed to belong to the Sudanese army in the center of Omdurman.

The Sudanese army had announced the death of 7 civilians and the wounding of others as a result of indiscriminate shelling carried out by the Rapid Support Forces on the Umm Bidda area of Omdurman./ End
