Abdelatty and Al-Nafti Emphasize Continued Coordination on Libya Developments

Amman: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Nafti emphasized the necessity of ongoing coordination and consultation regarding developments in Libya. They highlighted the need to support Libya's unity, safeguard its national institutions, and enhance its stability.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions occurred during a meeting between the two ministers on the sidelines of the resumed 165th regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States in Amman, Jordan. During the meeting, they addressed several regional issues and challenges, with a focus on the Libyan situation and the Palestinian question.

The Egyptian minister praised the outcomes of the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Tripartite Neighboring Countries Mechanism on Libya, which was hosted by Cairo on May 21. He underscored the significance of the mechanism's regular meetings as an essential framework for supporting Libya's unity, preserving its national institutions, and consolidating stability.

Both ministers also underscored the importance of continuing to support bilateral relations between Egypt and Tunisia and strengthening joint cooperation in various areas.
