Tripoli: Hanna Tetteh, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya, engaged in discussions with a delegation from Misrata, including members of the High Council of State and local dignitaries, to address the latest political developments in Libya. According to Libyan News Agency, the delegation raised concerns about what they perceive as a lack of transparency in certain ongoing political processes. They urged the UN mission to prioritize the implementation of the announced roadmap to resolve the current political deadlock. The meeting also covered various political initiatives, highlighting the need for transparency and inclusivity. The delegation emphasized that these elements are crucial for reducing violence and fostering stability. They expressed their appreciation for the results of structured dialogues facilitated by the UN. Hanna Tetteh reassured the delegation that UN-sponsored initiatives are designed to be inclusive and transparent.
