Morocco Achieved ‘Remarkable’ Socio-Economic Development Since HM the King’s Accession to the Throne (Argentine FM)

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, Diana Mondino, hailed the ‘remarkable’ socio-economic development achieved by Morocco since HM King Mohammed VI’s accession to the Throne.

‘The economic growth and social development in Morocco, these recent years, were remarkable,’ Mondino toldMAP on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day, stressing ‘Morocco’s huge ability to make profit of its natural resources.’

In addition to the peace and security enjoyed by the Kingdom, she cited solar energy, tourism and phosphates, which ‘are very useful for the rest of the world, because it’s one of the most important fertilizers there is.’

Mondino also noted that the Royal Atlantic Initiative ‘brings countries together, reduces logistical costs, enables access that was not possible until now for certain countries and promotes exchanges of all kinds’. ‘It seems to me to be an excellent initiative,’ she maintained.

She stressed that relations between Morocco and Argentina ‘should improve further’, recognizing that ‘we hav
e a great opportunity to make our economies complementary, not only with Morocco, but with the whole of Africa’.

The complementary nature of the Moroccan and Argentine economies opens up ‘opportunities for sharing technologies, knowledge or talents, which are really important,’ she said.

Mondino added that, under the impetus of His Majesty the King, Morocco has become a catalyst, a driving force even, for its own economy and those of other countries in its neighborhood.
