Tripoli: The activities of the first Libyan Cultural Exhibition for Tourism, Hospitality, and Heritage commenced today in Tripoli. Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Mabrouka Toghi, inaugurated the event, which saw participation from Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Nasr-Deen al-Fazzani, alongside several officials, cultural figures, and interested parties.
According to Libyan News Agency, the exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education in collaboration with the Ministries of Tourism and Culture, and the Antiquities Authority. It aims to showcase the cultural diversity and heritage of Libya, emphasizing their significance in fostering sustainable tourism and cultural awareness within society.
During her speech at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Culture highlighted the event as a crucial platform for bringing attention to Libya’s rich heritage. She praised the collaborative efforts that made this exhibition possible, reflecting the Libyan nat
ional identity.
The opening ceremony at the College of Tourism and Hospitality in Tripoli featured a documentary video showcasing the exhibition’s prominent activities and an introductory video about the College of Technical and Vocational Education.
The exhibition schedule includes dialogue sessions and workshops addressing tourism security and the role of tourism in heritage preservation. It also features competitions in culinary arts, visual arts shows, and various artistic and cultural segments.
The exhibition will continue for three days and is anticipated to draw a significant number of visitors and individuals interested in Libyan heritage and culture.
