Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Saturday 22/06/2024 ordered that 16 tourism companies be stripped of their licences and referred their management to the Public Prosecutor for illegally organizing Hajj trips to Mecca this season, the cabinet said.
“The prime minister has revoked the licenses of these companies, referred their management to the Public Prosecutor and imposed a fine on them to benefit the families of the pilgrims who died because of [their violations],” read a cabinet statement.
