UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Batili, stressed the importance of the role of the 6 + 6 committee and its responsibility in issuing the necessary laws for holding comprehensive elections in Libya.
This came during Bathili’s reception on Saturday of a delegation from the 6 + 6 committee at the headquarters of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya in the capital, Tripoli, according to the mission on its Facebook page.
Batili renewed the mission’s offer to provide all possible support to enable the committee to complete its tasks as soon as possible.
Along with the technical team assigned by the mission, Bathily exchanged views with the members of the 6 + 6 committee present on issues related to the implementation of the legislative framework for the elections, according to the same source.
