Representative in the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, renewed the Council’s determination to continue completing all paths of national reconciliation.
This was during Al-Lafi’s meeting, today, Monday, with the president and members of the Libya Gathering for Elections, according to the council’s statement on its Facebook page.
Al-Lafi, according to the source, praised the group’s efforts to support the option of holding elections, and the national reconciliation project, which is the only way to ensure the achievement of civil peace for Libya and its people, considering that the path to free and fair elections begins with the success of this project, to cross to the stage of stability, and building a democratic state.
During the meeting, members of the assembly presented their vision for conducting the electoral process within a legal framework that guarantees its organization and success, and their proposals that enhance the success of the national reconciliation project, praising the success achieved by the preparatory forum for reconciliation organized by the Presidential Council last January, according to the same source.
