A delegation from the Misurata Chamber of Commerce visits the headquarters of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce.

a delegation from Misurata Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture made a working visit to the headquarters of the General Federation of Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Cairo yesterday, headed by Fathi Al-Turki, Chairman of the Management Committee, and accompanied by “Ihab Al-Awaib”, a member of the Management Committee, and was received by “Ahmed Al-Wakeel, the Head of the Federation, members of the board of directors of the federation, and the secretary-general of the federation, to discuss ways to increase joint trade and investment relations.

According to the statement by Al-Turki to the Libyan News Agency, the two sides reviewed investment and trade opportunities in the two countries and ways to benefit from them to increase joint trade exchange, organize joint exhibitions, host delegations, and participate in different conferences.

The two parties agreed to exchange information, visits, and delegations and to use modern methods of communication to find the needs of the two markets in various sectors and activities in order to achieve real progress in bilateral economic relations.

In this regard, the Libyan side talked about the obstacles and problems facing Libyan businessmen and merchants in issuing visas, as well as obstacles at customs outlets and facilitating movement at the border crossing smoothly and easily.

The attendees affirmed that this meeting represents an important step towards developing relations between Egyptian businessmen and their Libyan counterparts, increasing the volume of trade and investment exchange, and then integrating roles in order to support the economies of the two countries in light of the historical relations between the Libyan and Egyptian peoples.
