Tripoli, -U.S. envoy to Libya Richard Norland expressed U.S. support for efforts to secure the departure of mercenaries and foreign fighters as well as all foreign forces from Libya.
Norland said in a tweet, following a meeting on Wednesday with the Libyan Army’s Chief of General Staff General Mohamed Al-Haddad “I warned against consolidating their foothold in Libya.” “We discussed promising efforts to form a joint unit as a first step towards the reunification of Libyan military forces,” he added.
