The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, confirmed: ‘Nineveh has returned with strength today to restore its glory and civilization and open new horizons of hope.’
The President of the Republic said in a speech at the opening of the Spring Festival in Mosul, delivered on his behalf by the Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, Kamel Al-Dulaimi: ‘Nineveh, after years of deprivation, killing, and terrorism, is returning with strength to restore its glory and its ancient civilization and open new horizons of hope for a bright future and under the shadow of an extensive campaign of reconstruction and construction.’
He recalled, according to a presidential statement, the sacrifices of the Iraqi martyrs whose pure blood irrigated the good land of Nineveh during the operations to liberate it from the clutches of terrorism.
The President of the Republic affirmed his keenness to follow up on the affairs of the governorates, and his interest in the files of security, services, the economy,
and the needs of citizens in each governorate through the creation of a directorate specialized in governorate affairs within the departments of the Presidency of the Republic, which follows up with the executive authorities on the requirements of the governorates
