A force from the 14th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces carried out a security operation to search the banks of the Tigris river and nearby farms within the sector of responsibility in Nineveh Governorate.
The Popular Mobilization Authority stated in a statement that the operation included inspecting and securing the areas on the banks of the Tigris River and the surrounding farms in the area of responsibility to prevent the infiltration of terrorist ISIS elements there.
The operation achieved its set objectives by field surveying and securing those areas in full, according to what was stated in the statement.
