The National Coalition disclosed the circumstances of what was reported recently about the emergence of a new political alliance that includes the Iraqi National Accord Party, the Iraqi House Movement, and the Watan Gathering Party.
The coalition stated, in a press statement today, Thursday, that "what was announced yesterday is not the final form of the alliance, and the attached picture with the statement dates back to a previous meeting of the head of the coalition, Iyad Allawi, with a number of civilian national figures."
It stressed that it is still in the stage of talks and negotiations with many of the main national and civil political forces in the country, and that its president, Iyad Allawi, has held many meetings with leaders and political figures.
