The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Russian Federation, Qahtan Taha Khalaf, participated in the annual international economic forum “Russia – the Islamic World”, which was held in the city of Kazan, the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, for the period from 18-19/5/2023.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, “The Ambassador held, on the sidelines of the forum, many meetings with a number of Russian political and economic figures, expressing Iraq’s aspiration for more bilateral cooperation with the Russian Federation in various sectors.
The statement indicated, “the importance of establishing such forums, which would enhance coordination and cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world, adding that this forum is a platform for the synergy of the economic, scientific, technical, cultural and informational agenda through the various structures of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Russian Federation.
