Tripoli: The Russian "TASS" news agency reported that Russia has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss Western arms supplies to Ukraine. The agency quoted a source in the United Nations as saying: 'A request was received from Russia to hold a Security Council meeting on the twenty-second of this month to discuss Western arms supplies to Ukraine.' This comes as Western countries requested a Security Council meeting on January 10 regarding alleged weapons supplies from North Korea to Russia. For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova pointed out more than once that Western countries' accusations of military cooperation between Russia and North Korea are false and unfounded.
