Al-Namroush Meets French Ambassador to Discuss Naval Cooperation

Tripoli: The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Salah al-Din al-Namroush, engaged in discussions with the French Ambassador to Libya, Thierry Pallat, focusing on enhancing the capabilities of the Libyan naval forces. This dialogue took place during an inspection tour of the Tripoli Naval Base, coinciding with the arrival of the French ship "Pluton."

According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidency announced on its official page that the meeting occurred yesterday, within the framework of joint cooperation programs and the exchange of military visits between Libya and France. These initiatives aim to strengthen military cooperation and further develop the capabilities of the Libyan naval forces.

Al-Namroush expressed his gratitude to the French Ambassador and the ship's crew, commending the robust relations between the Libyan and French navies. He highlighted the ongoing cooperation in training, qualification, and the exchange of expertise.

He also provided an overview of the progress at the Tripoli Naval Base, including joint cooperation and training programs designed to bolster and enhance the capabilities of the Libyan Navy. Additionally, he received a briefing on the technical and specialized work conducted by the Underwater Research Center in naval operations.

According to the Presidency, both parties reiterated the strength of their collaborative relationship and their commitment to continuing joint efforts in executing training and capacity-building programs, along with specialized technical projects. These initiatives are essential for enhancing the readiness of the Libyan Navy and advancing its capabilities to meet the highest professional standards.
