Tripoli: Representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed today, Sunday, with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Libya, Khaled Mohammed Al-Dosari, bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them.
The Presidential Council’s media office stated that the meeting discussed mechanisms for addressing the political impasse, and ways to support the initiative of the UN Secretary-General’s envoy to Libya to invite all parties to participate in the political process, and the national reconciliation project.
According to the media office, Al-Lafi praised the role of the State of Qatar in supporting the peaceful path to resolve the political crisis in Libya, pointing to the stages completed by the Presidential Council to reach the inclusive national conference, with the participation of all political parties, as the most important step towards achieving peace and stability in the country.
For his part, the Qatari Ambassador expressed the efforts of the Presi
dential Council to achieve consensus between all parties to the political process and realize the aspirations of the Libyan people, praising the serious steps of the MP in the national reconciliation project, and expressing his country’s support for the Presidential Council in achieving this important national entitlement
