Primary Healthcare Centers participate in Paxlovid Prescribing Guidelines workshop

Dr. Lulwa Rashed Showaiter, Chief Executive Officer of the Primary Healthcare Centers attended Paxlovid Prescribing Guidelines workshop.

Paxlovid is a medicine used for treating Coronavirus patients.

The workshop included lectures presented by Lt. Col. Dr. Manaf Al Qahtani, Infectious Diseases Consultant & Microbiologist at the BDF Hospital and Dr. Catia Mazrouli.

Dr. Showaiter affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to provide the latest treatments necessary to combat the Coronavirus.

She noted that the medical personnel in the Kingdom of have proven their competence in dealing with critical cases of those infected with the virus.

Dr. Al Qahtani affirmed the importance of Paxlovid in speeding the recovery of those infected with the virus and, reducing mild symptoms, and treat existing cases that are prone to severe symptoms.

He highlighted statistics of the Coronavirus in the Kingdom, the phases that the Kingdom faced, ways to address them, and the measures that were taken to combat the virus.
