Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani affirmed that the government is following up on clan conflicts and prosecuting those responsible for them, stressing the need to do more in order to reduce them, as they cause a breach of societal security and threaten the security of the citizen.
During his meeting with notables and representatives of the Atab clans in Nasiriyah, Al-Sudani praised the important role of our honorable clans in supporting the rule of law, with all its inherent values and moral stances that make it an essential pillar of society.
He stressed the importance of concerted efforts and supporting state institutions in implementing government plans aimed at reform and community development and everything that would contribute to building our country and advancing its reality.
Al-Sudani announced that the security forces were able to arrest one of the killers involved in the assassination of Sheikh Jamil Al Burhan Al-Atabi.
He explained that the security services are continuing to track down the other perpetrators who committed this heinous crime./ End
