Tripoli, 9 October 2022 (Lana) Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba participated in the celebration of the Ministry of Interior of the 58th anniversary of the National Police Day which falls on 8th October.
The ceremony which was held yesterday at Al Shaab Port Square in Tripoli ,was attended by Minister of Interior in charge ,Badr Al-Deen Al-Tomi ,Ministers of Justice Hilmiyeh Al-Bousifi,and Social Affairs Wafaa Al-Kelani ,Undersecretary of Interior Ministry for Directorates Affairs, directors of departments, heads of agencies, authorities and bodies in the ministry, and a number of heads of accredited political missions to Libya.
Al-Dabaiba greeted the employees of Ministry of Interior.
“this security institution is fine and will recover with determination of the loyal men who work day and night to impose and stabilize the homeland and protect the citizen”, Al-Dabaiba said.
He also confirmed that policemen are the watchful eye to protect lives, honor and property, and their role and tasks are huge and great tasks that only patriotic men can handle ,urging them to be one hand in applying law to all and their commitment to protect the peoples and maintain citizens’ safety, stressing that the GNU will not stop supporting members of Police to obtain their rights.
The PM had mercy on the sons of the security institution who lost their lives and martyred while performing their duty ,expressing appreciation and respect for security men who retired and performed their duties to this country, saluting the female police officers and leaders of the women police officers and members.
Al-Dabaiba stressed in his speech conclusion the need to benefit from previous crisis and faults and rebuild the security institution in a professional manner according to scientific and academic foundations.
For his part ,Al-Tomi congratulated Policemen on this anniversary ,praising their role in performing their tasks ,their performance rates, and the degree of their affiliation with this prestigious institution.
Al-Tomi explained that what he found during his position as Minister of Interior were efficient and qualified leaders of the members of the police force, and that they were highly professional and patriotic.
He indicated that a digital transformation of the system of members of the Police authority will be carried out, as well as creation of an office specializes in the issues of members of Police authority to defend and provide support to them, promising the Police members, the approval of awarding medals and medals to them and the issuance of their decisions.
