Oman participates in Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue

Oman Foreign Ministry is taking part in “Berlin Energy Transition” dialogue.

The two-day event draws many foreign ministers, energy ministers and experts in energy and related policies from the private sector, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

Oman is represented at the dialogue by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi who was invited to the conference by German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock and German Vice-Chancellor and Economic Affairs and Climate Action Minister Dr. Robert Habeck.

The dialogue seeks to discuss the challenges facing the world in the field of energy and means of switching to renewable and more sustainable energy sources.

The approach gains impetus in the backdrop of a global trend to embrace a green future and apply the best practices in this field.

The dialogue provides an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas about measures of achieving a safe and environmentally responsible global energy transition.

Omani Minister’s participation in the event reflects his country’s commitment to consolidate international cooperation and national approaches aimed to espouse policies for addressing the impacts of climate change and realizing carbon neutrality by 2050.
