Municipalities Affairs Minister: Round-the-clock efforts to address rainfall effects

Manama, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, today inspected several areas in various governorates, where he was briefed on the efforts of the emergency teams to address the effects of heavy rain witnessed by the kingdom, and tackle waterlogging.

He affirmed that suction operations have been continuing since yesterday evening in various governorates.

Al Mubarak confirmed that the emergency teams are present around the clock and in various governorate, noting that work has begun since the beginning of the rain to ensure smooth movement inside the neighbourhoods.

He emphasised the continued cooperation among all concerned parties, namely the Ministry of Works, the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the General Directorate of Traffic, and municipal councils, to reduce the effects of rainfall.
