Ministry of Education on Thursday honored 173 distinguished students in the Basic Education Certificate who obtained the full mark for the 2022-2023 academic year in a ceremony entitled “Excellence is a Syrian Address” at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.

The excellent students received a written message from First lady, Mrs. Asma al-Assad, saying “The perfect mark is not a number, but rather it is a reflection of the concept of completion, which is not only related to science, but rather to an approach of thinking and a culture of life… I hope this will always accompany you… countries develop through their individuals, yet they rise through their distinguished sons.”

In his speech during the honoring ceremony, Minister of Education, Muhammad Amer Mardini said that this honor has its own splendor because it includes a generous and kind message from First Lady, Mrs. Asma al-Assad who wanted to send a message affirming her pride in the elite, creative, outstanding Syrian youth.

Mardini pointed out to the positive impacts of excellence which are not limited to the student alone, but rather are reflected on his social environment, thus increasing the opportunities for professional and personal development and opening the doors to important constructive partnerships and opportunities.
