Mnifi Holds Expanded Military Meeting to Discuss Security in Tripoli

Tripoli: Mohamed Al-Mnifi, Chairman of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, conducted an extensive military meeting to address the latest security issues in Tripoli. The meeting focused on monitoring the implementation of measures to maintain the ceasefire and enhancing the operational readiness of the armed forces.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting included the Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, his deputy, other chiefs of staff, the Chief of Military Operations, and the Deputy Director of the Military Police Department. Additionally, the Disengagement Force, which is responsible for tasks assigned by the Supreme Commander, was present. The attendees included the Commander of the 603rd Infantry Battalion, the Commander of the 461st Border Guard Battalion, and the Head of the Counter-Terrorism and Terrorist Organizations Service. Commanders of the 1st and 2nd Reserve Battalions of the 53rd Independent Infantry Brigade, as well as representatives from the 222nd Brigade, the 53rd Independent Infantry Battalion, the Counter-Terrorism Force – Reserve Division, and the National Support Force, were also in attendance.

Al-Mnifi emphasized during the meeting the importance of all military formations adhering to the orders and instructions from the Supreme Commander. He highlighted the need to operate with discipline and a sense of national responsibility, urging support for the Disengagement Force in all its assigned tasks.
