CID Recovers War Remnants Found on Airport Road in Tripoli

Tripoli: The Criminal Investigation Department recovered war remnants found on Airport Road in the capital, Tripoli, following a report received from the Security Directorates Support Service in the regions.

According to Libyan News Agency, the department explained, in a post on its official page, that a security inspection and explosives disposal team moved to the site immediately after receiving the report, which indicated the presence of objects suspected to be war remnants near oil tanks in the area.

The department indicated that field surveys resulted in the discovery of a C5 missile and a 120mm artillery shell. These were dealt with according to approved procedures and safely transported to a designated storage site prior to their destruction.
