Minister Of State For Displaced Affairs Meets With The Regional Director For The Middle East And North Africa Of The United States Institute Of Peace.

Tripoli, The Minister of State for Displaced Affairs and Human Rights, Ahmed Abu Khuzam, during his meeting with the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa of the United States Institute for Peace, Elie Aoun, and the Director of the Libya Office, Nate Wilson, reviewed the Institute’s efforts with other governmental sectors in promoting the principles of dialogue and community peace.

Minister Abu Khuzam discussed during this meeting, which was held at the Prime Ministry’s office, with officials of the institute, joint cooperation programmes regarding the issues of the displaced and ways to support and develop them in building and managing community dialogue based on broad participation by all parties to support peace and community reconciliation efforts.

He praised the development of the partnership between the Ministry and the Institute, calling for support for building national capacities and investing in knowledge, protection mechanisms, transitional justice and reparation for conflict areas in Libya.
