Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed the safety of the nuclear facilities in the city of Isfahan in the center of the country, and that they were not exposed to any damage.

The Iranian News Agency ‘IRNA’ reported that field investigations in the city of Isfahan showed that the important facilities in this province, especially the nuclear facilities, enjoy complete security and no accidents have been reported there.

The Agency stated that after activating air defenses in some parts of Iran to deal with some potential targets, there have been no reports so far of injuries or large-scale explosions.

It pointed out that air defense activity is completely normal and is on 100 percent alert… and there have been no reports so far of the launch of missile defense systems.

In turn, the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed ‘today, Friday,’ that no damage occurred to Iranian nuclear sites after the news that was circulated about an attack on marches in Isfahan Province.

In a post on
the social networking site X, the Agency called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, stressing that nuclear facilities should never be a target in military conflicts.

The IRNA News Agency quoted Brigadier General Mehan Dost, commander of the Iranian army, as saying that the sound of the explosion in Isfahan province was caused by air defenses responding to a suspicious object, and no losses or damages were recorded.
