Intelligence forces arrest a drug trafficking and transport network in Baghdad

Baghdad, The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security arrested a major drug trade and transport network, and seized a quantity of narcotic pills in its possession in Baghdad.

The Directorate stated in a statement: ‘The members of the network were arrested in one of the areas of the capital, red-handed, after they were lured into an elaborate ambush, following the receipt of information indicating that they intended to transport narcotic substances from Kut to Baghdad and distribute them through representatives.’

It added: ‘Members of the network seized (1,000) Tram-Doll narcotic ampoules and (8,000) narcotic pills, in addition to a small firearm.’
