This team was established by House of Representatives Resolution No. (15) of 2026. The session was attended by key officials and members from relevant committees.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting took place in Benghazi and included key figures such as Youssef Ibrahim Al-Aqouri, the Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Omar Ali Tantoush, Chairman of the Committee on Planning, Finance, and the General Budget, and Abdullah Qaderbouh, Head of the Administrative Control Authority. These officials are integral members of the team tasked with this oversight.

The goal is to establish a unified framework for monitoring and generating technical reports concerning the frozen assets. Additionally, the meeting reviewed the progress on implementing Security Council Resolution 2819, which calls for an international financial audit to examine the management of these assets. The discussions also explored strategies to address the issue, aiming to bolster transparency and safeguard Libyan assets in line with international standards.
