German Envoy to Libya: Bathily’s upcoming briefing before the Security Council will have great international support

Tripoli The German Envoy to Libya, Christian Buck, said that the meeting hosted by Washington yesterday about Libya was supportive of the Libyan people’s demands to hold elections as soon as possible.

Christian Buck stressed in press statements that the meeting is very important, especially since it comes a few days before the briefing to be given by the UN Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily, to the Security Council on Libya.

Buck indicated that the meeting came to provide advice to Bathliy who talked extensively with the Libyan, regional, and international partners, and presented proposals and realistic plans.

Buck said that what Bathily will present before the Security Council, will receive great international support, because it is related to holding elections and making Libya a sovereign state, government and institutions capable of giving.
