Mrs. Asma al-Assad confirmed Friday in an interview with RT channel that the modern liberalism is the most substantial challenge for the whole world; the liberalism imposed on all peoples with the aim of dissolving national and human identities, social concepts and morals that preserve the social fabric and the family unit.

The First Lady said on the occasion of her son’s graduation from Moscow State University with honors that such degree is a reflection of a set of characteristics found in the personality, namely commitment, challenge, responsibility, and perseverance.

“I have a sense of pride like any mother whose children possess these qualities. I also feel satisfaction, as parents always strive to present the best children for their country, and this is what I experienced today with Hafez’s distinction here”.

We do not view the full mark as a number as much as we look at it as a concept meaning that a person wants to do everything in a perfect way, Mrs. Asma al-Assad added.

She went on to say “the ambition outstanding students always possess has no limits, they always strive for the best, and our societies need this culture in order to be able to make a real renaissance”.

Russian culture is an oriental one, therefore it meets in many aspects with the Syrian society in concepts and principles, and this prepares for building a solid ground for a deep dialogue among young people, strengthening the bridges of communication that already exist, the First Lady added.

“Russia and Syria have similar social and political elements, and the two countries have been subjected to attempts of division, marginalization and siege to control their decision , and this, in itself, is a great challenge for the present and the future. But the biggest challenge for the whole world is the liberalism imposed on all peoples with the aim of dissolving national and human identities with all their elements” Mrs. Asma al-Assad underscored.

“The Russian friends did not hesitate to stood with us in the war been imposed on us, and we have never hesitated to stand by them”, Mrs. Asma al-Assad said in response to a question whether she felt fear before arriving Moscow especially after the recent armed rebellion in Russia.
