Sirte: The Police Training Institute in Sirte celebrated the graduation of its first class of female police officers on Thursday. The ceremony was attended by several key officials, including the Mayor of Sirte, Mukhtar al-Madani, and the Director of the Sirte Security Directorate, Major General Ahmed Amadi.
According to Libyan News Agency, the event marked a significant milestone for the Sirte police force. Mayor Mukhtar al-Madani praised the Ministry of Interior's efforts in supporting police training initiatives and expressed the municipality's commitment to aiding the Police Training Institute. He also encouraged local security directorates to continue integrating female police officers into their ranks.
The Director of Security in Sirte highlighted the essential contributions of female officers in enhancing the security infrastructure. He lauded the graduates for their discipline and dedication during their training and wished them success in their future roles.
Brigadier General Mimi Lamin, Director of the Police Training Institute, thanked the Director of Security for his support and urged the graduates to uphold the values of integrity and responsibility in their work. He emphasized the importance of discipline and commitment to their duties.
Brigadier General Mubki Lamin detailed that the 29 female graduates completed an intensive three-month program, which included both theoretical and practical training components. The trainees participated in field exercises, such as a visit to Sirte International Airport, where they applied their learned skills in real-world scenarios.
The ceremony concluded with recognition of the trainees and training officers, underscoring the significant role female police officers play in community security and development.
