Tripoli: The Head of the Presidential Council and Chairman of the High Financial Committee, Mohammed Al-Menfi, convened a meeting today with the Technical Committee for Reviewing Contracts in the Oil and Electricity Sectors. This committee was established under Resolution No. (1) of 2025 to evaluate its progress and preliminary findings in its designated tasks.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidential Council's Media Office reported that during the meeting, the committee presented a progress report outlining its activities over the recent period. The report detailed the technical work and initial reviews the committee had accomplished.
The Media Office highlighted Al-Menfi's emphasis on the committee's crucial national role, underscoring its work as a purely institutional effort intended to foster integrity and transparency. This initiative is aimed at combating the prevalent corruption within the oil and electricity sectors, contributing to the safeguarding of public funds and reinforcing the principles of good governance.
