Addis ababa: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, engaged in discussions with Sabine Sparwasser, the German government’s Special Envoy for Africa. The focus of their meeting was to enhance bilateral relations and explore regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the coordination of positions and exchange of bilateral support in international forums. This meeting was held on the sidelines of the 48th session of the Executive Council of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions also revolved around Germany’s potential involvement in supporting the political process in Libya. A significant point of discussion was the possibility of lifting the European ban currently imposed on Libyan flights within European airspace. This issue remains a critical concern for Libya as it seeks to reestablish its presence in international aviation and strengthen its ties with European countries.
