Tripoli: The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Al-Siddiq El-Kabeer, discussed in Washington the opportunities available to American companies to work in Libya.

This came during a meeting with his accompanying delegation with the American Libyan Business Association (USLBA) in the presence of major American companies in the areas of oil and gas, financial transfers, electronic payment, communications, health, and consulting.

The communication office of the CBL said that the meeting reviewed the opportunities available to American companies to work in Libya, and El-Kabeer urged the American government to encourage American companies to work in Libya in the areas of energy, infrastructure, communications, health, education, services, oil and gas, and renewable energies.

During the meeting, the importance of the role of the CBL and the banking sector in supporting this trend and providing the regulatory environment and infrastructure in the area of automation of banking and financial services and el
ectronic payment was discussed.
