Al-bayda: Egyptian migrants have been deported from the Al-Bayda detention center back to their home country, as reported by the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency. A total of 30 Egyptian migrants were returned via the Amseid land border crossing as part of ongoing efforts to address illegal immigration and associated activities.
According to Libyan News Agency, the deported group included four women who faced charges related to begging. The rest of the deportees had deportation orders issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office. The agency reiterated its dedication to upholding national immigration laws throughout the process.
The agency highlighted that these actions are part of a broader strategy aimed at regulating detention facilities and ensuring the lawful return of illegal immigrants. They stressed the importance of respecting human rights and providing necessary support during the deportation proceedings.
In addition, the agency has conducted similar operations in the past, such as the deportation of 155 migrants via the Amseid border crossing in eastern Libya. These efforts focus on tackling issues related to begging and illegal employment, while also working towards improved security and stability in border regions and shelters. The agency seeks to maintain a balance between enforcing legal measures and adhering to international humanitarian standards.
