Egyptian-Greek Ties Witnessed Quantum Leap, Set Example Of Bilateral Cooperation: Emigration Min

State Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendy has asserted that Egyptian-Greek relations witnessed a quantum leap at the different political, economic and cultural levels, adding that they set an example for bilateral cooperation ties for the interest of both peoples.

Also, the Egyptian-Greek ties stand as a model for coexistence between cultures and religions in addition to strategic cooperation in the east Mediterranean region.

This came during Gendy’s participation on behalf of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli in a ceremony marking Greece national day.

In a statement issued by the Ministry on Wednesday 17/4/2024, Gendy said that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi launched a presidential initiative “Reviving Roots-Nostos” in 2017, the first of its kind around the world. The initiative aims at booting trilateral cooperation between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus.

She reiterated the importance of highlighting the positive results to develop ties between Egypt and Greece and meet the asp
irations of both peoples to achieve development and boost bonds between the peoples of the Mediterranean in addition to putting strategies to face illegal migration.
