Egypt, Qatar discuss boosting investments in oil, natural gas projects

Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Moulla discussed with his Qatari counterpart Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi means of fostering cooperation in energy field.

In a meeting on the sidelines of 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Algeria on Friday 01/03/2024, they also tackled opportunities available for Qatari companies to search and explore for natural gas and oil in Egypt as well as participating in new refining and petrochemical projects within the Egyptian state’s vision to enhance the added value of natural resources.

They also discussed their countries’ efforts to secure energy sources as well as the latest developments in liquefied natural gas markets.

Moulla also met with his Venezuelan counterpart Pedro Tellechea in which they discussed opportunities avialable for Egyptian companies to implement infrastructure projects in Venezuela in the field of oil and natural gas.
