Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakh Wan Abdullah, affirmed today, Friday, his support for the government's measures towards the Swedish Embassy.
The media office of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement: "We condemn in the strongest terms the repeated insult to the Holy Qur'an, and that the Swedish government's permission for extremists to transgress and openly attack the heavenly books and insult the Iraqi flag and religious and national symbols is a provocation and insolence."
He added: "We support the actions of the federal government and the position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs towards the Swedish Embassy, and what happened is an abhorrent hostile act that encourages racism and hatred and must be stopped, and the Swedish government must apologize to the Islamic nation and punish extremists with the law."/ End
