Chairman of National Oil Corporation Engages with U.S. Presidential Advisor on Strategic Oil Initiatives

Tripoli: Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suliman, engaged in discussions with Massad Boulos, the U.S. Senior Advisor for Arab and African Affairs, focusing on the NOC's financing mechanisms and the challenges it encounters in achieving its objectives. According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Libya Energy and Economic Summit, was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy, Jeremy Berndt. Discussions centered around NOC's plans to boost production and the potential entry of U.S. companies into the Libyan market. The dialogue also highlighted the sector's need for service companies capable of executing major projects according to required standards. Suliman emphasized NOC's commitment to transparency, particularly in the disclosure of results and the 2025 financial statements related to hydrocarbons and crude oil. This includes clarifying domestic consumption, export volumes, partners' shares, and revenues and budgets in full, reinforcing the principles of transparency and integrity. Boulos expressed his support for NOC's efforts to increase production and enhance transparency. He commended the partnership between U.S. companies and the Libyan oil sector, noting it serves the interests of both parties.
