Tripoli, Chairman of the Internal Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, Sulaiman Al-Harari called on the Supreme Judicial Council to take the necessary measures to include the General Investigation Service as a member of the Party Affairs Committee so that it can carry out its work, according to the Parliament’s website via the international information network.

During a meeting with the head of the General Investigation Service and the head of the Political Parties Affairs Committee at the Ministry of Justice, Al-Harari called for the need to observe security measures when granting approval to requests to establish political parties, and that it is important that the General Investigation Service be part of the committee, given the important role that the agency can play in conducting surveys and gathering information about parties and their members, to ensure that there are no security precautions around them in order to allow them to engage in political work. Al-Hariri said: (These parties will be entrusted with the exercise of political action, and their members will assume high and sensitive positions in the state, so it is necessary to ensure their integrity).
