Tripoli: The Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency has officially launched a unified digital system to connect its headquarters with branches nationwide. The initiative aims to streamline information exchange, boost performance efficiency, enhance monitoring, and assist in decision-making.
According to Libyan News Agency, the announcement was made during an expanded meeting in Benghazi. Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafeefi, the agency's head, presided over the meeting, which was attended by department and branch directors, alongside Major General Jalal Huwaidi, the Director of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation at the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting focused on evaluating the agency's performance for the first half of the year and reviewing various security, administrative, and technical reports. Discussions centered on finalizing procedures for agency personnel and resolving pending administrative issues in line with existing legal and regulatory standards.
During the event, the agency head received a final report from the technical committee responsible for the digital transformation project. This report marked the official launch of the unified digital system, facilitating direct connectivity between the agency's headquarters and its branches.
The agency highlighted that the new system will speed up information and data exchange, enhance monitoring and oversight mechanisms, and support decision-making. Engineers and technicians from the agency's headquarters designed and developed the system.
Major General Al-Khafeefi stated that the system's launch is a strategic move towards modernizing the agency's operations. This step underscores the importance of leveraging modern technologies and national expertise to improve security and administrative functions. He also reaffirmed the agency's commitment to ongoing digital transformation plans and increasing readiness to combat irregular migration.
