Tripoli: The Anti-Corruption Committee of the High Council of State convened with Abdullah Qaderbouh, Head of the Administrative Control Authority, along with members of the Authority, to deliberate on joint efforts aimed at combating corruption and reinforcing oversight mechanisms.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, which took place at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli, focused on several key areas, including oversight issues, information exchange, and a comprehensive review of the legislative framework governing anti-corruption initiatives. Discussions also covered strategies for enhancing governance and transparency, monitoring public spending, and finalizing procedures for closing accounts as per the Authority's established plans.

Furthermore, the dialogue emphasized the importance of enhancing oversight of appointments to leadership roles within the state to ensure fairness and equal opportunities. The meeting also reviewed data from the Administrative Control Authority's 54th annual report for 2024, which included insights into the state's financial, economic, and administrative status. This aims to provide comprehensive public oversight, allowing citizens access to documented information as a reliable reference for current and future governance.

The Administrative Control Authority's official page highlighted that both parties stressed the need for unified efforts and institutional coordination. This collaboration seeks to protect public funds, reinforce the principles of integrity, support the independence of oversight bodies, and translate oversight outcomes into practical actions that benefit the public interest.
