Tripoli, The meeting of the President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi” with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya “Jan Kubis” focused on discussing developments in the security and political situation in Libya, and ways to support the United Nations for National Reconciliation, and the opening of the coastal road, in coordination with the Joint Military Committee (5 + 5).
According to the media office of the Presidential Council, during this meeting, which took place, Thursday, it was stressed the importance of withdrawing mercenaries, fighters and foreign forces from all Libyan territories, and supporting the upcoming elections to reach the parliamentary and presidential elections at the end of this year.
The head of the UN mission praised the efforts of the President of the Presidential Council in initiating a comprehensive national reconciliation process, based on fulfilling rights and transitional justice.
