Baghdad, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, discussed with the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the importance of political and diplomatic efforts to end the war.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement that during the meeting, the political situation in the country, the provincial council elections, and the importance of achieving this constitutional entitlement were discussed.
The statement indicated, "The meeting discussed developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip, the importance of political and diplomatic efforts to end the war, and the emphasis on full support for the Palestinian people, and Iraq's firm popular and official position in rejecting any attempts to displace the Palestinians and their right to establish a Palestinian state with Holy Al-Quds as its capital.
